Our Employment Offer
Do you want to strengthen our unit and make a difference for the most vulnerable elderly patients in the hospital? Do you want to be part of a process where one of the geriatric wards has recently been converted into a Geriatric Acute Care Ward (GAVA) and the other into Hospital Geriatrics, providing care for patients who need to be close to the acute hospital's resources.
Are you a licensed physiotherapist driven by collaboration and short decision-making paths? Do you want to work with geriatrics at an acute hospital and have the opportunity to work in other parts of the hospital as well? Do you thrive in a context that is developing to meet the needs of the most vulnerable elderly patients, where the physiotherapist's contributions are highly valued?
We are looking for you who are a licensed physiotherapist and perhaps have a few years of experience. You are welcome to have supervisor training and experience supervising physiotherapy students.
You will receive an individually tailored introduction, and thereafter you will always have experienced colleagues to bounce ideas off. We offer clear routines and a structured way of working.
Currently, we work Monday to Friday with flexible hours. Weekend duty may become relevant as the operations are restructured and needs change.
As an employee at Danderyd Hospital, you receive healthcare compensation, an annual wellness allowance of 5,000 SEK, and access to the well-equipped staff gym "Lyftet" for only 800 SEK per year. Staff parking at a favorable price (30 SEK/day) and a subsidized SL (public transport) ticket. Subway, buses, and the Roslagsbanan train are in immediate proximity to the hospital. You receive favorable agreements for parental leave, pension, and vacation.
Job Description
Clinical work on wards focusing on the Geriatric Acute Care Ward (GAVA) and Hospital Geriatrics. Work on other wards with similar patient groups is also included in the duties. Care periods are short, and patients are multi-morbid.
Duties: Early, fast, and clinically secure assessments. Assessments of whether discharge to home is possible or if discharge to external geriatrics should occur. Mobilization and training, provision/prescription of assistive devices, and handover reporting to the next step in the care chain.
The work requires good interaction and communication skills with colleagues, other professions, as well as patients and relatives. The ability to prioritize and make fast but well-founded decisions is a prerequisite for thriving in this role. You always have colleagues to consult, and dialogue within the team is central! Supervision of physiotherapy students is included.
